William Sawalich of Eden Prairie will make his Daytona International Speedway debut this weekend, running triple duty competing for both Joe Gibbs Racing and TRICON Garage. Sawlich is also in competition for 2025 Rookie of the Year in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

On Friday, Feb. 14, Sawalich will race in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for TRICON Garage in the No. 1 SoundGear Toyota Tundra. The next day, Saturday, Feb. 15, he will compete in the ARCA Menards Series race in the No. 18 Starkey Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing, before climbing behind the wheel of his No. 18 SoundGear Toyota GR Supra to round out his weekend of racing at the 2-1/2 mile track in the United Rentals 300 for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Sawalich’s competition for Rookie of the Year in the Xfinity Series includes teammate Taylor Gray, Carson Kvapil, Connor Zilch, and Christian Eckes. Sawalich ran three Xfinity Series races in 2024 after turning 18 and earned the inside pole position at Phoenix Raceway in the season finale.

Also in 2024, Sawalich claimed his second consecutive ARCA Menards Series East (AMSE) championship at Bristol Motor Speedway. Sawalich won seven AMSE races in the past two years, with 15 top-five finishes on his way to winning two championships. In 2023, he became the first Minnesotan to win the series championship.
