SouthWest Transit extends bus wrap design contest deadline to Feb. 14

EPLN Staff ReportsBy EPLN Staff ReportsFebruary 1, 20252 Mins Read

In response to community feedback, SouthWest Transit is extending the deadline for a bus wrap design contest for area youth to 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14. All submissions must be either dropped off in person or emailed by that deadline.

The contest, open to individuals ages 11 through 18 who live or go to school in SouthWest Transit’s primary service area of Eden Prairie, Chanhassen, Chaska, Carver, and Victoria, asks entrants to design artwork for a bus wrap, a full-size advertisement that covers an entire vehicle. Winning entries in two age categories (11-14 and 15-18) will be displayed on the 10 new vehicles associated with SouthWest Transit’s spring 2025 launch of a new bus route along the Interstate 494 corridor.

Entry forms and design templates are available by download at swtransit.org/community-design-contest or in person in the vestibule of SouthWest Transit’s office at 14405 W 62nd St., Eden Prairie, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Full contest guidelines are also available at the contest link above; completed contest submissions can be delivered to the box in the vestibule of the W 62nd St. office, to the attention of Erica Schulte King, or emailed to eking@swtransit.org by 5 p.m. on Feb. 14.
