Brazin Public House: Where comfort meets creativity

Located in northeastern Eden Prairie near the Minnetonka border, Brazin Public House is a family-run restaurant that combines familiar flavors with inventive twists. The name is a nod to owner Kevin and his two sons, Braden and Zach, adding a personal touch that extends to the warm service and eclectic menu.

    An unexpected start

Our meal began with the Scotch deviled eggs, a dish we almost missed until we spotted it on the happy hour menu. Featuring Italian sausage and a mustard vinaigrette, the flavors were bold, though the vinaigrette wasn’t quite to my taste. Still, the happy hour specials are worth a look — you might uncover a hidden gem.

    Flavors that deliver

The real stars of the evening came next.

The sweet and spicy goat flatbread was a delightful combination of bold flavors. The whipped Calabrian chili goat cheese paired beautifully with blackberry, caramelized onion, crispy prosciutto and a drizzle of hot honey. It’s the kind of dish that showcases Brazin’s creativity at its best.

The Cuban sandwich was another hit, featuring tender smoked pork carnitas and house-made pickles on toasted schiacciata bread, served with hearty potato wedges. The “baked potato fries,” as they’re called on the menu, are essentially potato wedges with a crispy exterior and soft interior – comforting and delicious, even if the name feels a bit unconventional. Both dishes were satisfying and thoughtfully prepared.

The star of the evening wasn’t just the food – it was our server, Zach. He struck that rare balance between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy our meal. Whether refilling drinks, answering questions about the menu or ensuring our experience felt seamless, Zach’s service left a lasting impression and elevated our visit.

    Room for growth

While Brazin’s adventurous spirit is admirable, not every dish hit the mark. The Scotch deviled eggs were bold but may not suit everyone’s palate, and the expansive menu might benefit from more focus to help diners navigate the wide range of offerings.

    An ambiance without boundaries

Brazin’s relaxed vibe makes it an easy choice for casual meals, date nights or group gatherings. The welcoming staff and lively energy create an inviting space to enjoy good food with good company.

    Reasons to return

Brazin offers much more to explore, including brunch specials like bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys.

The restaurant at 6399 City West Parkway feels like a labor of love – a place where bold culinary ideas meet heartfelt hospitality. While there’s room for fine-tuning, the restaurant’s charm lies in its family-driven mission to bring people together over food that’s as comforting as it is adventurous.

On our next visit, we’re eager to try the PB&J Crunch burger and the indulgent s’mores lava cake, both of which promise to embody the restaurant’s playful take on familiar favorites.

With standout dishes like the sweet and spicy goat flatbread and Zach’s impeccable service, Brazin is a place where you’ll leave with a full stomach and a smile.
