Veridian Credit Union has awarded $90,000 in Giving Tuesday donations to organizations across Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska, including two with Eden Prairie ties, in celebration of its 90th anniversary.

Three organizations in each of the credit union’s five market areas received $5,000, with an additional organization from any of the areas drawn to receive a $15,000 donation. Both the Bloomington-Eden Prairie Meals on Wheels and PROP food shelf received $5,000 in donations.

Recipient organizations were nominated by the public for the credit union’s Veridian Gives Back for Giving Tuesday campaign and selected by random drawing. “Veridian was founded 90 years ago on the need to support our communities and the people in them,” said Veridian President and CEO Renee Christoffer. “It’s appropriate for our anniversary celebrations to reflect those values that still guide us today.”

The Eden Prairie branch of Veridian Credit Union is located at 6385 Old Shady Oak Road.
