    EPLN to provide live election night updates on local races

    As Eden Prairie residents cast their ballots today, Eden Prairie Local News (EPLN) is committed to providing up-to-the-minute coverage of local and state elections.

    Our team will share live updates on pivotal races that impact Eden Prairie’s future, from state House seats to county commissioner, city council, and school board elections.

    Where to find live updates:

    • Website: Find live local results on our elections page, complemented by national updates provided by The Associated Press.

    Key local races to watch:

    • Eden Prairie School Board: Six candidates are contending for three open seats: incumbents Kim Ross and Dennis Stubbs, and challengers Ann Bradsher, Jon Cermak, Kim Johnson, and Jody Ward-Rannow.

    • Eden Prairie City Council: Four candidates – incumbents PG Narayanan and Lisa Toomey, and newcomers Mihajlo Babovic and Andrew J. Toperzer – compete for two seats.

    • Hennepin County Commissioner District 5: Debbie Goettel seeks reelection against Jeffrey A. Beck.

    • Hennepin County Commissioner District 6: Heather Edelson is running against Marisa Simonetti.

    • Minnesota House District 49A: Alex Falconer (DFL) and Stacy Bettison (R) vie for the open seat left by retiring Rep. Laurie Pryor.

    • Minnesota House District 49B: Incumbent Rep. Carlie Kotyza-Witthuhn (DFL) faces challenger Wendi Russo (R).

    • U.S. House, Minnesota’s 3rd District: State Sen. Kelly Morrison (DFL) competes with former judge Tad Jude (GOP) for the seat left open by Rep. Dean Phillips.

    Voting information:

    • Poll Hours: Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    • Polling locations: Find your polling place with the Minnesota Pollfinder.

    • Same-day registration: Minnesota allows voter registration on Election Day. Bring proof of residence to your polling place.

    Absentee ballots:

    All absentee ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. today to count in this election. Drop-off locations include local elections offices and designated county drop-off sites. For more information, visit the Minnesota Secretary of State’s website.

    Post-election process:

    Please note that election night results are unofficial. Final results will be reviewed and certified by the Hennepin County canvassing board on November 13. For additional details on the certification process, see the Minnesota Secretary of State’s guidelines.
