Get to know the candidates in Eden Prairie’s House Districts 49A and 49B ahead of Nov. 5 election

Stuart SudakBy Stuart SudakNovember 2, 20241 Min Read

As Minnesota’s House Districts 49A and 49B approach the Tuesday, Nov. 5, election, four candidates are competing for two-year terms representing parts of Eden Prairie and Minnetonka.

For those looking to dive into the details, we’ve put together in-depth feature profiles of each candidate:

    • District 49A: Covering northern Eden Prairie and southern Minnetonka, Republican Stacy Bettison and Democrat Alex Falconer are vying to replace retiring Rep. Laurie Pryor.

    • District 49B: Encompassing central and southern Eden Prairie, incumbent DFL Rep. Carlie Kotyza-Witthuhn faces Republican challenger Wendi Russo.
