    Frustrated at election time

Letter to EditorBy Letter to EditorSeptember 21, 2024Updated:September 27, 20241 Min Read

It’s election time, and once again, I’m frustrated! Eden Prairie needs change. We used to be named as a top city to live in, but that’s a thing of the past.  Our schools are no longer to be desired. In fact, resident kids are going to neighboring schools instead. Our current representation of District 49B is nowhere to be seen except to put out signs at election time. Elected officials need to be in touch with what ALL residents of Eden Prairie want – not just those who support one specific party. Eden Prairie has become an extension of the poor state policies in place and has led to its run-down. It’s time for some fresh blood – someone who is interested in restoring EP schools to an education standard of excellence, instilling accountability in leadership, in keeping and growing businesses in Eden Prairie, and ultimately, is ready to do the work to get Eden Prairie back to the standard to which we pay taxes. We need an elected official who will reach across the aisle for the betterment of the district. I think it’s time for Wendi Russo!

    Tracey Herrig, Eden Prairie
