Return PG Narayanan and Lisa Toomey to EP City Council

Letter to EditorBy Letter to EditorSeptember 6, 20241 Min Read

I love Eden Prairie, I love good government, and I love people invested in our community! That is why I will be voting to return PG Narayanan and Lisa Toomey to the Eden Prairie City Council. In partnership with other council members, they were successful at:

    • Passing an Inclusionary Housing Ordinance
    • Adopting Sustainable Building Standards
    • Passing the Race Equity Initiative
    • Establishing an Affordable Housing Trust
    • Enhancing and improving our city parks and trails
    • Maintaining strong relationships with local businesses and nonprofits
    • Maintaining low taxes with sensible budgets
    • Plus more!

Most importantly, they are connected with our community. After reviewing the other two candidates for council, I see nothing that speaks of genuine and long-term community involvement. Lisa and PG, on the other hand, have supported community outreach programs like PeopleFest!, Coffee with Cops, Night to Unite, and Council Town Hall meetings.

Council members who are active in and care about our community. That is why I encourage you to vote to return PG and Lisa to the Eden Prairie City Council.

    Thomas Achartz, Eden Prairie
