A day for smiles: Eden Prairie kids return to school

EPLN Staff ReportsBy EPLN Staff ReportsSeptember 3, 2024Updated:September 3, 20241 Min Read
Logan Peters, a second grader at Eagle Heights Spanish Immersion School, boards the bus on the first day of school. His grandmother, Jackie Peters, captured this moment, highlighting the bus driver’s welcoming smile.

Sept. 3 dawned with a simple truth in Eden Prairie: It was a day for fresh starts and wide smiles. The town’s youngest students, backpacks slung over their shoulders, headed out for the first day of school.

Parents snapped photos at bus stops, front porches, and school doors, capturing a moment that felt just right.

Elementary and middle school students filled the air with the sound of new beginnings, while freshmen at Eden Prairie High School got their first taste of high school. Tomorrow, sophomores, juniors, and seniors will step into the mix, but today was all about new beginnings for the younger kids.

Eden Prairie Local News (EPLN) invited parents and family members to submit photos of their children’s first day back at school. These are some of the moments they shared, along with photos taken by EPLN social media manager Brianna Collett.
