A 25-year-old Eden Prairie woman struck by a vehicle on Saturday night succumbed to her injuries the following day, according to reports from the city and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The victim, identified by the medical examiner’s office as Holly Chunmei Bergstrom, had just exited another vehicle stopped in the northbound left turn lane of Flying Cloud Drive at the intersection with Anderson Lakes Parkway. She was attempting to cross Flying Cloud Drive outside the crosswalk when she was hit by a 2009 Honda CRV driven by a 17-year-old female who was traveling south.

Bergstrom was transported to Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis in critical condition and later died on Sunday from multiple blunt-force injuries, as confirmed by the medical examiner’s office.

A preliminary investigation by Eden Prairie police found no evidence of excessive speed, distraction, or impairment on the part of the driver. The Minnesota State Patrol assisted at the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
