An online Stop Food Waste challenge for all of August is open to all residents of Hennepin, Ramsey and Washington counties.
Individuals may join the challenge by creating a profile at stopfoodwaste.ecochallenge.org by July 31. They can earn points by tracking such things as making a meal plan, using up leftovers and properly storing food. Participants who earn 100 points and complete a survey will be entered into a raffle to win prizes that include three food-saving prize packs, four $50 Visa gift cards and 16 $25 Visa gift cards.
Participants may form teams within the challenge and will receive email updates with resources and opportunities to attend workshops and events hosted by Stop Food Waste Challenge partners.
