Eden Prairie cancels July 4 festivities due to rain forecast

EPLN Staff ReportsBy EPLN Staff ReportsJuly 3, 2024Updated:July 3, 20241 Min Read

Eden Prairie’s Independence Day festivities, originally planned for Thursday, July 4, have been canceled due to the forecast of heavy rain, city officials announced Wednesday.

However, residents can still enjoy the Sparklefest event at Round Lake Park tonight from 6 to 10:15 p.m., as the weather looks favorable.

Sparklefest will offer a variety of free children’s activities, numerous food trucks, and the Community Plaza. The evening will culminate in Eden Prairie’s first-ever sensory-friendly drone light show at 10 p.m., promising a spectacular display for attendees.

For more information about Sparklefest, visit the city’s website.
