    Sports update: EPHS boys lacrosse advances to state semifinals

    No. 5 seed Eden Prairie (12-5) edged No. 4 seed Eagan (13-4) with an 8-6 victory in the state tournament quarterfinals Tuesday.

    With this win, the Eagles advance to the semifinals, where they will face top-seeded Benilde-St. Margaret’s (16-1) at 5 p.m. Thursday at Chaska High School.

    Eden Prairie took control early, jumping to a 5-0 lead in the first quarter. Senior captain Danny Burke led the Eagles with three goals, while sophomore Oscar Berggren added two.
