The city of Eden Prairie announced Monday several park and conservation area improvement projects slated for this summer.

The initiatives include habitat restoration and upgrades across multiple locations.

Dell Road Trail Rehabilitation: Crews will replace the existing trail and install a new connection along Dell Road from Townline Road to Duck Lake Trail.

Franlo Park Shade Structure: A new plaza with a shade structure and seating will be constructed near the sports courts, enhancing visitor comfort.

High Trail Estates Playground Equipment Rehabilitation: The city will replace existing playground equipment with new installations that meet current safety standards.

Miller Park Sports Courts Complex: The existing sports courts will be replaced with a new complex featuring a tennis court, basketball court, and eight pickleball courts. All courts will be lit for nighttime play, and shaded seating areas will be added adjacent to the courts.

Pioneer Park Tennis/Pickleball Courts Rehabilitation: New blacktop, fencing, netting, and court surfacing will be installed for the tennis court and four pickleball courts.

Round Lake Hardcourt Rehabilitation: In partnership with the Eden Prairie School District, the city will replace the degraded tennis courts.

Viking Drive Trail: A new 8-foot trail will be constructed along the north side of Viking Drive, extending from the end of the existing trail east to Golden Triangle Drive.

For a detailed list of park projects and information on their timelines and impacts, visit the city’s website.
