Eden Prairie Center buzzed on Saturday as the annual ECO EXPO, featuring more than 45 eco-friendly exhibitors, drew crowds to its center court to celebrate Earth Day two days ahead of the official date, April 22. Hosted by the Eden Prairie AM Rotary Club, the event encouraged the community to “Go Green” and “Do Good.”

Mayor Ron Case lauded the initiative, stating, “What a wonderful, incredible event it is, and we’re so proud of the morning rotary and what they’re doing.”

Designed to inspire residents of Eden Prairie and nearby areas to adopt sustainable lifestyles, the expo highlighted activities for the whole family, including dogs and goats. Attendees explored various booths offering insights into environmental safety and health, while local children enjoyed a Family Fun Zone filled with eco-based activities.

For instance, Goats from B3 Goat Mitigation Services, which uses a growing herd to naturally control invasive plant species like buckthorn in Minnesota, delighted children at the ECO EXPO. Dogs from Underdog Rescue, a foster-based organization dedicated to rehabilitating and finding permanent homes for animals of all ages and breeds, were also popular. Additionally, WEE Farm, a learning and interactive space in Savage, captured the interest of young attendees with their tortoises.
