The upcoming road construction season includes Hennepin County projects that will impact Eden Prairie. Projects the county has identified for 2024 include:

    • A pedestrian ramp project along Pioneer Trail (County Road 1) from Trails End Road (Chanhassen) to Braxton Drive. This project will construct pedestrian ramp upgrades along various county roadways.
    • Overlay on Spring Road (County Road 4) from Flying Cloud Drive (County Road 61), to 75 feet south of Hilltop Road. Mill and overlays are the most common and recognizable technique to add a new driving surface. It includes removing up to two inches of pavement and repaving with up to two inches of new paving material brought to the site. Mill and overlay projects last only a few days to a couple of weeks and typically require short-term lane restrictions.
