The walls of the Eden Prairie Library have acted as a gallery for local elementary students' art the first three months of 2024.

For the first three months of the year, the walls of the Eden Prairie Library have showcased elementary students’ art. Some of the library’s walls, associate librarian Gina Meisner said, were “bare and boring,” so she contacted art teachers at local elementary schools and asked about displaying their students’ art.

In January, library patrons visiting meeting rooms near the periodicals reading area or picking up materials from the holds section were greeted with walls of snowy scenes created by Prairie View Elementary students. In February, a bounty of butterflies bedecked the walls, reflecting artwork from various grades at Oak Point Elementary. The March display features art from Eagle Heights Spanish Immersion in the style of Panama’s molas cloth.
