    EPLN OBITUARIES

Elaine Carol Regan (nee Sam) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Jan. 28, 2024, at the age of 92. Elaine was born on April 24, 1931, in St. Paul.

Elaine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. She was married on Feb. 26, 1949, to Charles “Chuck” Regan, and together they worked tirelessly to create a loving home for their children. After Chuck’s passing in 1992, Elaine moved to Eden Prairie and lived with her daughter Kelley and her family for 18 years, where she enjoyed the natural beauty of Red Rock Lake.

When it was time for Elaine to make her way home to the Lord, her daughter, LeighAnn, tirelessly and lovingly cared for her throughout her journey.

Elaine’s memory is cherished by her beloved children: daughters LeighAnn Waldbillig (Denny Dennison), Kelley Regan (Matt Adam), Tammy Waldbillig, Kathy Morehouse (Charlie Morehouse), Susan Reis (Bob Reis), and son Charles Regan (Lili Regan). Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, and is also honored by her surviving siblings, in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Preceding her in death, along with her husband, was her son-in-law, Steve Waldbillig.

To honor Elaine’s memory, a private family service will be held in June at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings, Minnesota.

Elaine will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
