    City’s outdoor ice rinks open for skating

    The Eden Prairie Parks and Recreation Department announced Tuesday, Jan. 16, the opening of its outdoor ice rinks and warming houses for the 2024 winter season.

    Here is a list of Eden Prairie’s rinks and warming houses, along with their operating hours:

    • Crestwood Park, 9780 Dell Road: Open Monday to Friday from 4-8 p.m., on Saturdays and non-school days from noon to 6 p.m., and on Sundays from 1-5 p.m. For more information: 952-974-3906.
    • Edenvale Park, 7200 Edenvale Blvd.: Open from Monday to Friday from 4-8 p.m., on Saturdays and non-school days from noon to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 1-5 p.m. For more information: 952-937-3476.
    • Forest Hills Park, 13708 Holly Road: Open from Monday to Friday from 4-8 p.m., on Saturdays and non-school days from noon to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 1-5 p.m. For more information: 952-937-0928.
    • Homeward Hills Park, 12000 Silverwood Drive: Open Monday to Saturday from 4-8 p.m., on Saturdays and non-school days from noon to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 1-5 p.m. For more information: 952-942-8211.
    • Miller Park, 8208 Eden Prairie Road: Open from Monday to Friday, 4-8 p.m., Saturdays and non-school days from noon to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 1-5 p.m. For more information: 952-975-1889.
    • Nesbitt Preserve Park, 8641 Center Way: Open from Monday to Friday, 4-8 p.m., on Saturdays and non-school days from noon to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 1-5 p.m. For more information: 952-983-0607.
    • Prairie View Park, 17255 Peterborg Road: Open from Monday to Friday, 4-8 p.m., Saturdays and non-school days from noon to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 1-5 p.m. For more information: 952-934-6057.
    • Round Lake Park, 16691 Valley View Road: Open Saturdays and non-school days from noon to 8 p.m., and the usual schedule of 4-8 p.m. on weekdays and 1-5 p.m. on Sundays.
    • Staring Lake Park, 14800 Pioneer Trail: Open from Monday to Friday, 4-8 p.m., an extended period on Saturdays and non-school days from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. The park also features a sledding hill (which is closed to a lack of snow) and provides skates and kicksleds.     Open hours for ice rinks and warming houses may vary due to weather conditions. For the latest updates on weather-related closures, residents are encouraged to visit the city website throughout the season.
