“Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house / Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.”

Fans of sugar plums and Clement Clark Moore’s beloved poem, “A Visit from St. Nicholas” (better known as “The Night Before Christmas”), can see the story brought to life through song and dance at PiM Arts High School’s upcoming dance concert.

Students will perform “The Night Before Christmas” at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, Saturday, Dec. 16, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17, at Minnesota JCC Sabes Center, 4330 Cedar Lake Road South, Minneapolis.

Tickets are $5 for students and $20 for adults, and can be purchased here.

The show will feature 30 student performers from PiM Arts High, as well as a young persons’ chorus made up of children aged 4 to 12.

Danielle Ricci, a dance instructor at PiM Arts, invited the community to attend. “Join us as we celebrate the holiday season through music, storytelling and dance as the dance department at PiM Arts High School presents ‘The Night Before Christmas,’” she said.

“This piece brings the classic poem to life on stage with dancing sugar plums, prancing reindeer, and St. Nicholas himself,” she added. “The first act of this performance features live holiday music for the whole family to enjoy. Don’t miss the magic of the holidays on stage this December.”
