Eden Prairie Early Childhood PTO, the parent-teacher organization for Eden Prairie Schools’ Little Eagles Preschool and Early Childhood Education program, collected diapers from various daycares and community locations throughout October. After sorting and organizing the donations, PTO members tallied 10,092 diapers and 9,506 wipes.

The Eden Prairie Early Childhood PTO donated the diapers to PROP in November. PROP is a 501(c)3 organization based in Eden Prairie that provides food and comprehensive support for neighbors in need to create a path toward self-sufficiency.

“I’ve served on this PTO for a few years, and this event is always one of my favorites. It’s nice to see how much our community cares for one another and the magnitude of donations we receive. This year we had so many, we needed to ask the school district to loan a truck to haul it all,” said PTO volunteer Krystal Caron. “People donated lots of unopened boxes of diapers from our wish list, but even the donations of diapers that kids have grown out of really add up. We appreciate it all.”

This event is held annually in October and is co-organized with the help of the Eden Prairie School District’s Little Eagles and Early Childhood teachers and staff.
