On Veterans Day weekend, Eden Prairie-based hearing aid manufacturer Starkey honored employees who have served in the military by hosting them in its U.S. Bank Stadium turf suite for the Minnesota Vikings Salute to Service game. The group also visited with the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders and former players. Honorary attendees included servicemen and women from the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and National Guard.

“Supporting and giving back to those who have served our country is an important part of Starkey’s core values, and one of the main pillars of our corporate social responsibility program, Starkey Cares,” said Starkey President and CEO Brandon Sawalich. “Our employee veterans not only fought to protect our freedoms but are also such a valued part of our Starkey family. We can’t adequately express our gratitude and appreciation for the sacrifices they’ve made to ensure our safety, but this was our way of saying thank you this Veterans Day.”

“It is a significant privilege to be recognized by Ernst & Young, amidst a group of fantastic business leaders,” said Happe. “I also want to express clearly that this award is a shared testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovation of every member of our remarkable team and the outstanding portfolio of premium outdoor recreation brands and businesses. I am deeply grateful for their passion every day to build our future, and for the unwavering support of our dealers, strategic partners, and end customers.”

This year’s Ernst & Young U.S. competition recognized 11 other winners from nine companies. Happe was selected by an independent panel of judges made up of entrepreneurs and other notable business leaders from across the U.S.
