At Eden Prairie High School (EPHS), a donation-based free store called Eagle Nation Station (ENS) is seeking community help to support students and families.

The idea for this free store came from a suggestion in the school’s Eagle Voice discussion platform. It asked for increased access to basic necessities for students while they are at school.

During the school year, ENS is open weekdays from 8 to 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 3 to 4:30 p.m. Students can volunteer to help run the store.

Available amenities include school supplies, personal care items, household items, food, and Eden Prairie clothing.

To ensure it has enough supplies as the school year begins, ENS is hosting a donation drive through Friday, Aug. 25. Items can be dropped off in the Student Activities office of EPHS, located at 17185 Valley View Road.

    What to donate

    Needed items include:

    • School supplies like folders, binders, markers, highlighters, protractors, graphing calculators, backpacks, and erasers.
    • Body care items like deodorant, body wash, travel-size shampoos and conditioners, hair ties, new combs and brushes, and shaving cream.
    • Snacks like granola bars, juice boxes, crackers and goldfish, fruit cups, and trail mix.
    • Household items like laundry detergent (small size), dish soaps, sponges, paper towels, toilet paper, boxes of tissues, and new reusable water bottles.
