    Party for Pride celebrates movement, wellness, and LGBTQIA+ community

    On Saturday, the Party for Pride event hosted by the Eden Prairie Community Center took place at the Staring Lake Amphitheatre, showcasing support and unity for the LGBTQIA+ community through a celebration of movement, wellness, and inclusivity.

    Participants had the opportunity to take part in free fitness classes, activities, and enter giveaways and prize drawings.

    The festivities culminated in a dance party. Attendees were encouraged to showcase their loudest and proudest pride gear.

    • During the Party for Pride event on Saturday, Nolan Weiman and Tessa Syverson, representing the Eden Prairie Parks and Recreation Department, shared details about the EP Park and Play free equipment kits available at all parks.
    • Sana Elassar, a member of the Eden Prairie Human Rights and Diversity Commission, shared information about upcoming events, including Eden Prairie’s PeopleFest!, while staffing a community table at the Party for Pride event.
    • Lulu Tsai, of the Eden Prairie Community Center, welcomes newcomers to the Party for Pride event.
    • Marya Johanneson, a fitness instructor at the Eden Prairie Community Center, led participants in a belly dance class during the Party for Pride event.
