    EPLN Sports & Events Calendar | Week of Feb. 20

    Editor’s note: Due to the winter storm, some events have been postponed or moved from the original schedule to a new day and time.

    Monday, Feb. 20

    No events are scheduled.

    Tuesday, Feb. 21

    The sports week kicks off with basketball. The Eden Prairie varsity boys team, coming off their 92-86 win over third-ranked Wayzata, travels to sixth-ranked East Ridge for a game originally scheduled on Dec. 22. Tip-off for the Eagles and the Raptors is set for 7 p.m.

    The Eagles boys 9A, 9B and JV teams will also travel to East Ridge for games with the Raptors.

    The Eden Prairie girls 9A team will be in Shakopee on Tuesday to take on the Sabers at 4 p.m.

    An elementary music performance (Rotation 1C) will take place at the CMS Performing Arts Center at Central Middle School. The show starts at 5:30 p.m.

    Wednesday, Feb. 22

    The boys varsity swimming and diving sectionals, originally schedule for 6 p.m. at Eden Prairie Community Center have been postponed due to the winter storm. Competition is scheduled to resume on Friday, Feb. 24.

    Thursday, Feb. 23

    The Eagles boys 9A and 9B basketball with Holy Family in the EPHS Activity Center have been postponed due to the winter storm.

    The boys varsity swimming and diving sectionals, originally schedule for 6 p.m. at Eden Prairie Community Center have been postponed due to the winter storm. Competition is scheduled to resume on Friday, Feb. 24.

    The Eagles boys varsity swimming and diving team will compete in sectional competition at Eden Prairie Community Center on Friday and Saturday.

    Friday, Feb. 24

    The Eden Prairie boys hockey team is coming off a 4-1 win over Buffalo on Saturday that closed out their regular season. The fifth-seeded Eagles begin postseason play against fourth-seeded Holy Family in the first round of the Section 2AA playoffs. Puck drop between the Eagles and the Fire is set for 5 p.m. at the Victoria Recreation Center. This game was moved from its original date of Thursday, Feb. 23.

    The varsity boys swimming and diving team will resume competition in the sectional meet at Eden Prairie Community Center. The first event is at 6 p.m.

    The eighth-ranked Eden Prairie girls basketball team will have their first game since Saturday’s 77-72 victory over No. 5 Maple Grove. The Eagles will close out their regular season on the road against Edina at the Edina High School Activity Center. Opening tip is set for 7 p.m.

    The Eagles girls 9A and JV teams will also host the Hornets at Eden Prairie High School.

    The Eden Prairie boys basketball team will be set to avenge their earlier season loss to Edina when they host Edina in the main gym at EPHS. Opening tip is set for 7 p.m.

    Eden Prairie boys 9A, 9B, 10, and JV teams will also host Edina at Eden Prairie High School.

    The CMS Variety show will take the stage at the CMS Performing Arts Center at Central Middle School. The curtain rises at 7 p.m.

    Saturday, Feb. 25

    The boys hockey Section 2AA playoffs resume at Braemar Ice Arena in Edina. The semifinal game will feature the winner of quarterfinal match between Eden Prairie vs. Holy Family against top-seed Chanhassen, which defeated Bloomington Jefferson on Tuesday. Puck drop for the semifinals will take place at 4 p.m.

    After coming off a second-place finish in the team competition at the Section 6AAA tournament, Eden Prairie wrestlers will compete in the individual section tournament at Waconia High School. Start time is TBA.

    The varsity boys swimming and diving team will compete in the sectional meet at Eden Prairie Community Center. The first event is at 6 p.m. Please note, because the Wednesday and Thursday competition was postponed due to the winter storm, the meet was extended to include Saturday Feb. 25.
