    Brent Rickenbach

    By Staff ReportsFebruary 7, 2023Updated:February 7, 20232 Mins Read

Brent Levi Rickenbach, 59, of Chanhassen, died peacefully in his home on Friday, Feb. 3.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy; children, Emily, Levi, and Sarah Rickenbach; parents, Richard and Marilynne Rickenbach; brothers, Brad (Meg) Rickenbach and Brian (Jennifer) Rickenbach; parents-in-law, Walter and Ardis Rafteseth; siblings-in-law, Diann Johnson, Karin (Dean) Peterson, David (Catherine) Rafteseth; many nieces and nephews; and other loving relatives and friends that he considered family.

Brent was born in Minneapolis on April 4, 1963. He attended various schools, making friends around the country, as his family moved for his dad’s job. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1987, where he met his wife, Cathy.

According to Brent, their three children, Emily, Levi, and Sarah, were his greatest accomplishment. Brent worked for over 20 years at General Dynamics, most recently as a chief engineer and technical fellow.

Brent enjoyed hiking, ranching with his uncle, handball, and all things problem-solving.

He was an active member of the Eden Prairie Lions Club, the Eden Prairie Crime Prevention Fund, and Westwood Community Church.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Home, 7625 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie. A memorial for Brent will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at Westwood Community Church, 3121 Westwood Drive, Excelsior, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m.

Arrangements are being handled by Washburn-McReavy Eden Prairie Chapel (952-975-0400).
