    EPLN OBITUARIES

Keith Duane Anderson, age 65, of Eden Prairie, passed away while diving the Red Sea in Egypt on Dec. 5, 2022.

A funeral service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 300 E 4th St., Chaska, on Wednesday, Dec. 28. The service will start at 11 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior at 10 a.m. A luncheon will be held afterward, and a private burial will be held at a later date.

Keith was born on Dec. 16, 1956, in St. Paul. He was the youngest son of Donald and Kathryn Anderson and the brother of Bryan, Karen, and Bruce. Keith married Luanne (Kloos) and had three daughters: Miranda, Krista, and Laura. He was especially proud of his girls, and family time was precious to him.

Keith was a lifelong craftsman, owning his own construction company. Many would say they know “this guy” who could build or fix anything. He specialized in fine woodworking and residential remodeling, putting his heart into his craft. In his spare time, Keith was an avid hobbyist. He enjoyed scuba diving, underwater photography, dry/wet caving, downhill skiing, hunting, stained glass, woodworking, boating, traveling, and much more. There are not many dads who adventured as hard as he did.

He became a Bulldog fan with regular trips to Duluth to visit his daughters as they attended the University of Minnesota Duluth. He enjoyed annual fishing trips, four-wheeling weekends, Country Fest, Fourth of July at Birch Lake, and vacationing with his family.

Keith valued his time with the Eden Prairie Lions, the “Mixed Nuts,” the Monday Night group, the old Friday night group, and his family. He was known for his infectious smile, great dance moves, strong will, and goofy personality. Keith often said, “You couldn’t stamp ‘adult’ on my forehead if you tried — I’m too tall!” He definitely knew how to have a good time. Keith was also known for his strong faith, so we have the reassurance that we will be reunited one day in Heaven. He absolutely lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Kathryn Anderson; in-laws, Donald and Ruth Kloos; brothers-in-law, Greg Sycks and Douglas Kloos; and great-nephew, William Luecke.

Keith is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Luanne; daughters Miranda (Bryce) Hansen, Krista (Matt) Overby and Laura (Ross) Schminski; grandson Henry Hansen; siblings Karen (Greg) Walters, Bryan (Nancy) Anderson, and Bruce (Jenny) Anderson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Bertas Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Chaska is handling the arrangements.
