It’s a winter wonderland at Eden Prairie Center tree lot

A heavy snowstorm didn’t stop B&J Evergreen employees from welcoming customers to their Eden Prairie Center mall tree lot, featuring hundreds of fresh-cut trees and a wide array of holiday greens.

Austin Graber, who has worked at the lot in front of Target and JCPenney for three years, said Tuesday’s snowstorm was keeping most customers away.

However, the falling snow made the tree lot a beautiful sight.

Graber said their most popular trees are balsam, Frasier and Canaan firs. He said they also have fresh wreaths, decorative pots, boughs, spruce tips, birch sticks, and more.

B&J Evergreen also has lots at Veterans Park in Richfield and in St. Louis Park. Santa will be making appearances at the Veterans Park lot as well as at the company’s “choose and cut” sites in Princeton and Clear Lake. “He’s a busy guy,” Graber said.

Graber said that in addition to visits from Santa, the “choose and cut” sites feature farm animals (including a camel at each site), horse-drawn wagon rides, bonfires, and recycled playgrounds. The Clear Lake location also has dog sledding. Check their website for more information.

The lot at Eden Prairie Center is open Monday-Thursday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
