    PeopleFest! exhibitors sought for July 31 event at Staring Lake Park

    Organizers of PeopleFest!: A Community Celebration of Culture are accepting applications for exhibitors at the PeopleFest! Party at Staring Lake Park on July 31.

    Exhibits must address one of the following to be considered: education regarding a specific culture, education of cultural practices, beliefs, customs, etc., and/or promote awareness of culturally specific services.

    All booths must have a hands-on activity, and must be appropriate for people of all ages. The application is available on the City of Eden Prairie website. The application deadline is July 10.

    PeopleFest!: A Community Celebration of Culture, runs from July 26 to August 9. It features a series of educational events reflecting a range of traditions, backgrounds, abilities and expressions of Eden Prairie through literature, music, dance, visual art, food and educational offerings.

    The celebration is a presented through a collaboration of the City of Eden Prairie, Eden Prairie Schools Community Education, Eden Prairie Community Foundation, Interfaith Circle, Academy for Young Leaders, Eden Prairie Human Rights and Diversity Commission, Eden Prairie Chinese Association, India Association of Minnesota, Eden Prairie TreeHouse, and others.

    The events are funded in part through a Minnesota State Arts Board grant.

    The 2020 celebration was virtual and 2021’s was a hybrid. This year’s complete in-person schedule of events will be posted soon, according to the PeopleFest! Website.
