Eden Prairie’s Community Drop-Off Day event is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at Hennepin Technical College, 13100 College View Drive.

Residents can get rid of unwanted items that can’t be disposed of in the trash or recycling bin.

    Items that are accepted include:

    • Bicycles can be brought for recycling through Recovery Bike Shop.
    • All non-hazardous construction/demolition waste is accepted, including gypsum board, bricks, studs, and shingles.
    • Furniture, toys, artificial Christmas trees, mattresses, pressure washers, lawn mowers, and snowblowers. Gas-powered equipment is only accepted if drained of all fluids.

Items not accepted include appliances, batteries, electronics, fluorescent light bulbs, hazardous waste, tires, and yard waste.

Most of those can be disposed of year-round at the Hennepin County drop-off facility. Yard waste can be dropped off at Eden Prairie’s Yard Waste Site, 9811 Flying Cloud Drive.

People are asked to enter the site from eastbound Anderson Lakes Parkway at Columbine Road and exit from College View Drive to Flying Cloud Drive.
