According to Eden Prairie Police Department (EPPD), an officer attempted a traffic stop for a traffic violation on Thursday, July 22 at 8:47 p.m.

The vehicle’s driver had a felony drug warrant issued by Dakota County.

When the officer attempted an arrest, the driver fled in the vehicle to an area near the Extended Stay America hotel at 11905 Technology Drive. The driver then abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

Officers saw the driver flee by foot into the area of Flying Cloud Drive and Technology Drive and Purgatory Creek Conservation Area. The EPPD established a perimeter in the area, but the driver was not found.
