    Jane Carol Brown

    Brown, Jane Carol (nee Rudsenske), of Eden Prairie passed away at the age of 91 on January 8, 2021.

    She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Carol was born on July 4, 1929 in Madelia, MN to George and Grace Rudsenske.

    She received her education degree from Macalester College.  She married her husband Jim in 1951. They were married for 49 years and raised four children together. Carol spent thirty-five plus years teaching, starting in Hopkins and moving to Eden Prairie to teach spring primary then 1st grade. She guided and inspired many young minds. Carol retired from teaching while at Eden Lake Elementary in 1989.

    She spent her retirement in Sun Lakes, AZ,  where she could be close to her grandchildren. In the Spring of 2017 Carol moved back home to EP.  She was strong, smart, creative, and driven. She loved travelling the world with her husband, reading, watching basketball, and making her famous hot fudge.

    Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, her daughter, Elizabeth, and her granddaughter Allie. She is survived by her sons Jim (Ruth), Mark (Terri), and Bill (Shelley), grandchildren Sean (Catalina), Maren (Ben), Olivia (Cameron), Gracie, Rachel and Ryan, and great Grandchildren Nicholas, Ellie, and Alida.

    A memorial will be held at a later date when it is safe to gather and remember Carol together.  Memorials can be sent to Grace Hospice 1015 4th Ave N Ste 206 Mpls, Mn 55405.
