The EPPISODE must go on: Eden Prairie Players adopt podcast format

    By Jennifer CordesDecember 16, 2020Updated:December 16, 20202 Mins Read
    EPPISODE

2020…The year that theaters went dark. Eden Prairie Players (EPP), our local community theater, felt the pain just like all everyone else.

The winter play was cancelled on opening night. This was, followed by the postponement of Women’s One Acts, Children’s Theater Workshop, and the fall Collection of One Acts.

But, wild times call for wild ideas.

And, the EPP is back at it with a COVID-safe, exciting new production: EPPISODE.

Summoning their inner hero, wise wizard, or swashbuckling rogue, a group of EPP actors have created a Dungeons and Dragons (DND) style podcast, where their improvisational skills are put to the DND test.

Kaz Loren of Eden Prairie Players (EPP). Kaz plays Balder, a socially awkward Cleric with an alternate identity in the EPPISODE podcast.

EPP actor and director Tim Williams oversees the podcast and serves as the Dungeon Master for each EPPISODE.

    Interested in getting involved?

EPP is looking for guest artists from other theater companies to join in the fun and promote their projects. Additionally, community members can submit warm-up questions for the cast to answer during recording. Send your inquiries and questions to Tim at timwilliamsr@gmail.com.

Come join the adventure! EPPISODE is released bi-weekly on Wednesdays via Spotify or Soundcloud. Missed EPPISODE 1? You can check it out on Spotify or Soundcloud.
