It’s the season of giving with the holidays on the horizon. With all that’s happening in 2020 with the pandemic, there are plenty of organizations looking for donations to help out those in need.

One of those is located right here in Eden Prairie. People Reaching Out to People (PROP) has continued to service the community.

    PROP receives $25k matching donation

During the month of December, one family is offering a $25,000 gift match that could help out those in our community who need it the most right now.

The couple, who is choosing to remain anonymous, are long-time residents of Eden Prairie, according to PROP Director of Marketing Kelli Steidle. They have a passion about making sure people are adequately fed and have a place to call home.

“We know that living in our community is a privilege and this is an ideal place to raise a family, but we also know the global pandemic has broken apart the very fabric of people’s lives,” the couple said. “We decided now is the time to act and alleviate fear and anxiety.”

From now until Dec. 31 at midnight, this couple is matching donations up to $25,000 for those in crisis at this time. Monetary donations can be made online at propfood.org or by mailing donations to PROP, 14700 Martin Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55344.

Besides money, the organization continues to look for food and other household items to benefit those struggling. Here are five things PROP needs:
